Once in a Blue Moon

Happy New Year and Decade!

What a beginning we're having!  There will be 2 full moons this month (called a blue moon) Tonight's is in the beautiful and emotional sign of Cancer.  The Sun and several other planets are in the opposite sign of Capricorn - earthy, practical, discerning. Both of them being modified by Saturn (responsibility, focus, integrity, hard work). 

What does this mean for us? 

Both the pressure and the support to bring our heads, hearts and actions into alignment (walking our talk) is getting stronger.  There'll be some growing pains and adjustments - and there's big rewards for that effort.  Living our unique dream really is up to us.    Step by step anyone who chooses to, can make the transition from the old habits of struggling and striving, into creating, attracting and manifesting what they really want.  All the knowledge and tools we need are availalbe to us - the key that unlocks our power to use them is self awareness - knowing who we are, being honest about what we want and being true to self - yes age old wisdom and time to ask "Am I really living it?"

So this energy thats ushering in our new decade is helping us to know ourselves better.  Some of what comes up will be welcome and some will be confronting.  If you haven't felt it already, be prepared sometime in the next few weeks, to have a patch of feeling like you've lost the plot! 

The first step is to allow the opposing energies to bring your own opposing thoughts and feelings to the surface.  You'll probably react automatically and rush into fix it mode to relieve the discomfort.  This is the point where you might need to chuck a wobbler and have a huge rant followed by a Bailey's and chocolate chaser. Whatever you need to do to step back and allow time to digest the competing thoughts and feelings. Once you see how that inner conflict has been getting in your way and holding you back you can put your new awareness into action.   Thats walking your talk - this decades in term for that will be "living authentically".  Whatever you call it - thats what takes our dreams from wishing to reality.

Manifesting Moon in Sagittarius

Time to boost your manifesting focus - its a new moon in Sagittarius  tonight. So its great energy for:

• Spontaneity and adventure
• Planning overseas travel
• Buying lottery tickets
• Legal negotiations
• Passing exams
• Applying for Higher Education

Sagittarius is the domain of the positive, optimistic and expansive Jupiter - so whatever you focus on in this time - increases - careful what you wish for :)

As the New Moon rises the 14 day waxing moon cycle begins - the expansive, productive and open aspect of the moons journey.  Also a great time for gardening, hair cutting,. Have fun!

Manifesting Moon

The New Moon in Scorpio occurred  at 6.14am this morning - making it a good time for

* Letting go of old “baggage”

* Financial partnerships

* Empowerment, healthy boundaries

* Passionate desires . . .

and transformation of all kinds.  The New Moon heralds the start of the 14 day waxing Moon cycle, that leads up to the Full Moon. This is the most productive time for manifesting - starting new projects - and even for having your hair cut!

Its Nearly Over!

Update on the communication and techno wobbles we've all been experiencing.  Lots of us are still feeling the influence and having phones, computers, internet and emails behaving badly - or just not functioning at all.

This is intended to redirect our focus and thoughts and move our mindset.  Its certainly rearranged mine!

The good news is, we've got about a week until it clears (for those who like the energy story - Mercury has to move back past its starting point before the tangle clears).

Meanwhile - breathe deeply. Have plan B, C and D in the wings so you don't die of frustration.  Accept 100% ownership for everything you're manifesting,  including dead laptops - ouch.

And most importantly have a good supply of chocolate on hand!

Mercury has gone direct and Spring has sprung!! Thank the Gods and Goddesses - its time for the annual clean out ready for new growth.

This year more than ever the universal energy is urging us to let go, change and grow. Encouraging us to be really clear about what we truly want in our lives. Urging us to commit to that intention. And trust that we can manifest it. We already know that we’re the co-creators of our whole lives. The next step for us to master is our ability to manifest!

How do we find the head space to deal with that in the current play of energy? What with Saturn (past, status quo) and Uranus (change, future, freedom) competing for our attention and Mercury (all things mental) doing back flips? I’ve been heard repeating “I’m over it!” like a scratched cd for days. In perfect sync my computer hard drive fried and gobbled up a few weeks work for good measure. . . that rearranged my focus in an instant.

Its easy to think confidently and keep faith in ourselves and the process of life when alls going well –

But what about when the going gets tough? Your buttons are getting pushed? And the **** hits the fan?

That’s when we need to really pay attention.

Looking at the fatal blue screen on my laptop, it was clear I was the culprit. I’d been locked in a mental struggle, unconsciously trying to control the pace of everything so I could feel safe (AKA Stuck! ) Old habits die hard and they slip back in with such ease when we’re under pressure.

We’ve got a lot more of these wonderful growth cycles to come in the next 2 years, so I want to take action to move my mindset now, before it bites me on the bum even harder a few weeks or months from now!

Clarity?? Mercury goes retro again!

Mercury the planet of communication goes on its 3 week retrograde cycle starting today. This is a fun time to be sure :)

Mercury rules communication, thoughts, words, humour (and loss of) mental filters, the processing of ideas, all forms of negotiation, contracts and commerce - so all relationships and interactions casual and significant are affected.

During this time we can experience delays, misunderstandings, mistakes, misinterpretations, changing minds, forgetfulness, unreliability, all manner of mix-ups and more than a little frustration! So its a time for paying attention to the fine print and aiming for clarity in all things, but don't sweat it if it eludes you over the next 3 weeks.

If you're trying to bring something important to a conclusion the delays can send you batty - I've found dealing with institutions like banks, telecommunication and other utility providers, tax dept, schools, etc. will give you wonderful technicolour examples of this. Phones, computers, electrical equipment and all things techno usually take a wobble and your isp help lines will be pulling their hair out.

If you find yourself getting cranky with messy messages and general chaos in in your dealings, step back and give it some fresh air, trying to force it will ony cause more resistance and frustration. If you do have a dummy spit, you'll get the chance to see the funny side of your own reaction and just how much more drama it causes.

I wrote the above 2 days ago to get in before Mercury turned :) And now I'm sitting in my new rooms experiencing it all happening. I hired some equipment this morning to start my room makeover. Got everything all geared to go and flicked the switch - nothing. Missing a small part. Now we're up to the 4th phone call. The hire company have been to visit with a new part - which turned out to be the wrong one. So I'm relaxing under the air conditioner waiting for the next visit. We may or may not get it happening today. Meanwhile, there's aways plan B and C to execute :) Too funny! I'll let you know the outcome.

On that note if you do experience delays like this and miscommunincations its best to stay calm, reflect on our own input and take new action from there. Its also a great time for clearing clutter physical, mental and otherwise - and its Spring so it could be the impetus that starts a makeover. We should emerge from this period feeling a lot clearer and with some fresh insight on the matters that arise. If you're a fan of drama, there'll be plenty of opportunity for that, go right ahead, Mercury loves the sheer entertainment of watching us all go nuts trying to control everything before we give over.

Yay the part has arrived and it works, so I better get on with my makeover. Wishing you lots of fun with Mercury too.

Same vs Change

Another dose of the Saturn (in Virgo) Uranus (in Pisces) oppostion for us over the next 4 weeks, peaking on September 15th.

Saturn represents our past, the status quo and security and can feel restrictive especially in the presence of Uranus. . . the rebel and liberator, offering newness and change and urging us forward - it has a love of hitting you like a bolt of lightening.

So, while it can be a bit of a chaotic head spin as we feel pulled between the old and the new - its also a great opportunity to make productive change. Even when we want change, some natural resistance always surfaces . . . old fears and familiar obstacles pop up - see them for what they are, indicators of change. Listen to your intuition and Uranus will give you the flashes of insight to show you the way forward. If you've been asking for more or different, now is the time to manifest it.
